"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jer 29:11 (ESV)
Eleven years ago today, terror and tragedy struck America. Six years ago today, I started my first (and so far only) job in the legal field, working as a law clerk at a county courthouse. One year ago today, I officially became a stay-at-home mom. For reasons known only to Him, God has repeatedly used September 11 as a meaningful day on my yearly calendar. It should come as no surprise then that today also marks the "official" launch of my humble Etsy store, which consists so far of just a handful of Halloween cards. Realizing after-the-fact how well the dates lined up for all these directional changes in my life, I thought it also appropriate to write my first blog post today. I'll keep this one brief.
I intend to use this blog to share a little about my life, the love of Christ, and the pursuit of craftiness...and, yes, to shamelessly self-promote. I am new to blogging and to e-business, (it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to write this post!) so please be patient with me and forgive the many stumbles I am sure to have along the way. With that said, I am going to leave you with a photo of a project I have been working on and will be listing in my store soon. I was inspired by this memo board that I saw at my local Meijer store...
but it was a bit industrial-looking for my taste AND the price tag was a bit too hefty, so I came up with this:
My husband put it best when he said I'm not going to want to sell it! :)
